The Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme will cover all those above 70 irrespective of their family’s annual income, effective from today 29-10-2024. The aim is to provide free health insurance of Rs 5 lakh to 6 crore senior citizens in 4.5 crore families. Under the scheme, a special card will be issued to the eligible beneficiaries.
The project will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). All senior citizens aged 70 years and above are eligible to avail the benefits of AB PM-JAY irrespective of their socio-economic status.
How to submit application?
Apply for new card through PMJAY site or app or csc center to submit application.
You can register by downloading the ayushman app on the google play store.

Go to https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in and register.
